Our Services
A Strategic Facility Plan…
Developing this Plan is the starting point for our work with most churches. The Strategic Facility Plan is a specific building design with associated costs that can be implemented in phases over time as the church continues to grow. Typical steps in the process to form a Strategic Facility Plan:
Understand your vision and what God is doing through your church
Analyze your church's growth trends, programs and age distribution
Assess resources - facilities & land, finances and congregation readiness
Identify unique opportunities and potential threats that impact a plan
Quantify and prioritize facility goals and connect to a schedule
Provide design options to consider (site planning, buildings & phasing)
Develop consensus on a final plan with leaders and stakeholders
Full-Scope Architectural Services
To implement a design that we have developed, we provide what is known as full-scope services. It entails producing detailed construction drawings and specifications, including structural, mechanical and electrical engineering. We help you get qualified contractors on-board, either through competitive bid or a negotiated agreement with a construction manager. We assist with permitting and governmental approvals and follow the project through construction, reviewing all aspects of the work and approving payment requests to protect your interests. We also identify and help you get on board any specialty consultants or trades for acoustics, integrating technology, food service and furnishings. We help deliver a turn-key product.
Or tailored to your needs
Since we are here to serve you, we match our services to your specific needs and don’t hold you hostage to a 25 page contract to use us any more than you want to. (In industry-standard architectural agreements, the architect owns the design and you must use them to implement it or pay a buy-out fee.) We can do as little or as much as you want. Many times - especially when working with churches at a distance - we’ll develop a design that can be implemented with a local architect or builder. And because we work in Building Information Modeling (BIM), there is usually a significant savings in the total design fee.
Another unique aspect of how we serve is our agreement for services and compensation. Our contract for projects big and small is a one-page Memorandum of Understanding. It refers to the work we will do for you and the cost, and beyond that requires everyone to treat each other in a fair, Biblical and Christ-like way. And when it comes to compensation, we do not require a retainer fee in advance. We simply bill at the end of the month for the work we’ve done and you have 21 days to make the payment. Simple and straightforward; how we like to work.
